A Lonely Shrine

In a shrine, a goddess is dying from lack of faith and prayer.
In the same shrine, a simple cat that likes to sunbathe.
The goddess reflects on her long life and the state of the world outside her shrine. She was supposed to be eternal. Now her end comes suddenly like the first wasp in Spring.
The cat cleans itself; the wind is nice today.
The goddess's chest tightens. Is there any way to survive?
The cat vibrates. Purrrrrrrrrrr.

Dull and trite. It reads like a 13 year old girl's livejournal from 2005 (I went through a similar phase in secondary school). Complete with the "christ god bad and japan is magical" angst. The art is poor: mspaint for the cat and goddess and vacation photos with a photoshop filter for the background. The "ye olde english" is exhausting to read and it isn't even consistent.
There are no choices or interactivity. Just mashing the space bar. It really does seem like an old short story fed into renpy. I did not enjoy it. I only finished it to give it a fair review.

This was a kinetic novel, not a game. So there were no options or "gameplay" elements. It was in fact a short-story fed into renpy.
